As I wrote previously, on the heels of Tobold and others, the issue of new WoW character leveling would seem to need addressed by Blizzard. As it is now, it's merely tedious. Yes, the accelerated XP rewards do help, but having to progress through 70 WoW character levels just to have a different toon isn't exactly the way many of us want to spend our sometimes limited playtime.
On the other hand, I can certainly understand Blizzard's position that you can't just give away level 70 WoW characters willy-nilly. (Yes, I just said willy-nilly, ending once and for all the controversy over whether I'm over the age of 12). The leveling process is critical for understanding the gameplay and group dynamics of new WoW characters.
But what if I just want a Horde Druid in addition to my Alliance one? Aren't I already familiar with Druid gameplay and group dynamics? So I should be given a level 70 WoW character in a Faction I don't have any friends in?
And what if I already have multiple level 70 WoW characters? Couldn't one reasonably assume I'm a mature, knowledgeable player that understands general gameplay and can quickly come up to speed on new abilities? But just because I have a level 70 Druid and Warlock doesn't mean I know how to play a Priest.
